Welcome to Whitemud West Hockey 

Whitemud West is a proud member of EMHA, offering programs for players born between 2014 and 2022. 

 

Key Registration Dates 

• June 1, 2026 – Registration Opens  

• July 15, 2026 – Early Bird Deadline  

• July 31, 2026 – Installment Payment Due 

 

Important – AA / AAA Tryouts 

Players trying out for CAC AA (U11AA / U13AA) must register directly with CAC. 

If released from CAC, please contact registrar@whitemudwest.com before registering to remain eligible for the Early Bird rate.

Note: 

• Players who are rostered to Tier 1 teams(U9-U13) following evaluations will be assessed an additional fee.

Payment Reminder 

Registration must be paid in full and all required documents submitted to participate in evaluations and the season.

How To Register  

Returning Players 

REGISTER HERE – WHITEMUD WEST REGISTRATION LINK  

Register using your existing Spordle account. 

A completed registration includes: 

• Valid Respect in Sport (RIS) OR Shift Forward Program  

• Payment (Visa Debit / Mastercard Debit)  

• Volunteer commitment (cheque or online deposit) or Online Deposit Payment and DEPOSIT FORM  

RIS / Shift Forward Requirement
A valid Respect in Sport (RIS) Parent certification is required (expires every 4 years). 

• Valid RIS → no action needed  

• Expired RIS → complete Shift Forward (new replacement program)  

• We are currently transitioning to the Shift Forward Program. Once your RIS certification expires, it will not need to be renewed—instead, you will complete Shift Forward. 

 

New First-Time Players 

New to Hockey? Start Here 

All new hockey families must complete the Shift Forward Program. 

This short online course helps parents understand: 

• Hockey structure and expectations  

• Safety, respect, and communication  

• How to support your child’s experience  

Cost: $12.08 

Steps to Register 

1. Click REGISTER NOW   
2. Search for your child by name and birthdate 
3. Add new participant if needed  
4. Complete Shift Forward  

1. Parent Declaration Form: important to add  registration@whitemudwest.com This is the email address of the Minor Hockey Association (MHA) the player is registering with.  Attach:  Birth Certificate  

 Alberta Health Care Card  

•  Proof of Residency (utility bill only – no driver’s license)
• Volunteer Cheques or Online Deposit Payment and Deposit Form 
• Payment via Visa/Debit or MasterCard/Debit 

 

Transferring Players  

You must request and complete a transfer before registering. 

Email registrar@whitemudwest.com with: 

• Player name  

• Birthdate  

• Previous association  

Once approved, you will register.   

Required Documents: 

• Parent Declaration Form: important to add  registration@whitemudwest.com This is the email address of the Minor Hockey Association (MHA) the player is registering with.
  If it is not included, Whitemud West will not receive a copy of your form. 

• uploaded to Parent Declaration Form under Proof of Residency - Document 1,2& 3: 

• Birth Certificate 

• Alberta Health Care Card 

• Proof of Residency (current utility bill – first page only, showing name and address for water, gas, or electricity bills. No Drivers License) 

 

Season Timeline 

• Evaluations begin: Early September 2026  

• Season start: Early October 2026 

• Evaluation Information 

• Evaluation schedules (dates, times, locations, and skate groups) will be posted once ice times are confirmed. 

• Each division will receive a detailed schedule closer to the start of the season.

• Each age division will receive detailed evaluation schedules, including dates, times, and locations.
